The goal of surviv.io is to be the last player standing. You only live once per game - there is no respawn!
If you've played other battle royale games like PUBG, Fortnite or H1Z1, then you're already halfway there! Think of surviv.io as 2D PUBG (with slightly less desync and more chicken).
Loot and Kill
You'll begin the game with no items other than a simple backpack. Move around the map to find loot: weapons, ammo, scopes, and medical items. Eliminate other players and you can take their loot!
Red = Bad!
Players aren't the only thing that can hurt you. The deadly red zone will move in from the sides of the map and deal increasingly greater damage if you stand in it. Keep an eye on the map and stay safe.
The faction badges are going back into storage. Our next update will arrive by the end of the month, and it's going to be a doozy! Follow us on Instagram for official leaks and sneak peeks.

50v50 is back for round three, and brings with it role three: the medic.
Each medic is granted a bright white helmet that won't at all draw attention to their location. Medics also get full meds and a special perk: Mass Medicate. This perk makes all medical items and revives affect every nearby teammate.
So get cozy with your team's medic, spam the medical emote (hold C and then right click!), and get healed. Just keep an eye out for bullets and frags. And MIRVs and strobes. And stay away from that smoky barrel ...

Well done, survivrs! Your collective efforts helped us to better understand the chaotic nature of these Island-grown potatoes.
FSTMS division chief Dr. Spud Solanum says, "We've learned enough to proceed to phase two: weaponized tubers! Our first prototype will be ready in thirty days ... probably."

In this iteration of Desert Rain, we've added the Firepower perk to Lieutenant Helmets found underneath the aged faction statues. This perk grants the helmet-wearer larger magazines, including the recently added PKP machine gun.
And speaking of, we've greatly increased the drop rate of the PKP in golden airdrops in flare gun mode. If you've yet to wield this Spetsnaz favorite, now is the time!
